In episode one we take a look at two pieces in Buckton's Yard.
'Drape' - Merlyn Griffiths
'Drape' comprises two dynamic art pieces, located side by side, in a mix of bold and pastel hues, which appear to gently cascade down the walls like the flow and drape of fabric from which Merlyn took her inspiration.
'Tees Valley Gateway' - James Snook
This piece, artfully painted, looks at the town's geographical position as the gateway to the Tees Valley. The work depicts a hidden gateway, with symbolic representation of Darlington's history and Saxon heritage.
